Mason Executive Assessment Council

Mission

The Mason Executive Assessment Council (MEAC) provides institution-wide leadership, coordination, and strategic guidance for assessment at George Mason University. Serving as the intersection of the Academic, Co-Curricular, Administrative, and Mason Core Assessment Councils, MEAC promotes a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating collaboration, sharing assessment best practices, supporting compliance and accreditation requirements, and advancing the value of evidence-informed decision-making across the university.

Membership

MEAC is chaired by the Executive Director for Institutional Effectiveness and a co-chair elected by council members. Membership includes two representatives from each assessment council (MAAC, CCAC, AdAC, and MCAC), nominated by their respective council chairs and serving staggered two- and three-year terms. OIEP staff provide administrative, planning, and assessment support to the council.
