MIDAS Executive Steering Committee

Chaired by the MIDAS sponsor(s), the Executive Steering Committee (ESC) is comprised of executive leadership by data domain to ensure that Mason’s data strategy and governance priorities are aligned with Mason’s strategic objectives, best practice, and regulatory requirements. The ESC is responsible for supporting the efforts of MIDAS by:  

• Positioning the overall direction. 

• Advocating and securing funding to advance the goals and objectives. 

• Establishing priorities. 

• Reviewing and approving policy decisions reached by the Data Governance Board including resolving issues outside the scope of knowledge/authority of the Board or for which the Board is unable to come to agreement. 

• Ensuring policies and standards are consistently and equitably applied.
