The Mason Executive Assessment Council (MEAC) provides oversight and guidance for assessment activities across George Mason University by serving as the body through which the Academic, Co-Curricular, Administrative, and Mason Core Assessment Councils intersect. As the university’s assessment hub, MEAC serves as a clearinghouse for assessment information, documents and shares best practices, supports compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and promotes the value of assessment as a key institutional practice.
At this meeting, members will:
Reflect on the 2025-26 assessment awards process and identify best practices and lessons learned to share with assessment councils in Fall 2026.
Discuss the call for nominations for the next MEAC co-chair.
Preview MEAC responsibilities and priorities for the 2026-27 academic year.
Discuss ways members can serve as peer leaders within their respective assessment councils.
Provide feedback on current assessment practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
The meeting provides an opportunity for members to collaborate across assessment councils, share insights, and advance assessment practices that support student success and institutional effectiveness at Mason.
