Beacon – Student Strengths Inventory

Beacon Student Strengths Inventory (SSI) was initially administered to Mason first-time freshmen in fall 2013. The survey items address a variety of topics including student engagement, educational commitment, resiliency, social comfort, as well as their sense of belonging, experience with and perception of advising, self-perceived competencies for success, and interaction with faculty. The information collected from SSI can be used to identify at-risk students and inform intervention strategies to enhance freshman achievement and retention.

Survey results can be generated at the university level, college/school level, and program level. Most results can be filtered by gender, ethnicity, on campus residency, and domicile. To protect student anonymity, survey results with less than three respondents will not be accessible.Searchable Survey Results
