Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE)

The Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education is a national, research-based initiative designed specifically to understand the job satisfaction of instructional and research faculty. Mason is partnering with COACHE to administer the Faculty Satisfaction and Faculty Retention and Exit surveys.

COACHE Faculty Satisfaction Survey: Summary Report and Results

For each survey administration, Harvard COACHE provides a Faculty Satisfaction Survey Preview Report. The Mason COACHE Leadership Team conducts further analyses of the data and produces an Executive Summary Report. All reports and survey results are available to full-time faculty and staff. These links will require authentication for access.

The survey results can be opened with any browser but COACHE recommends Google Chrome for optimal viewing. If you have any difficulty accessing the survey results, please contact us at oiep@gmu.edu for support.

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning (OIEP) are data administrators for this project at Mason. Survey results are held in OIEP. OIEP has access to individual level, de-identified data, but only aggregate results are shared with administrators and faculty, and only when there is a sufficient number (at least five) of responses. The de-identified data may be used for future research without additional consent from participants. For information on Mason IRB credentials, please reference IRBNet: 1364078-1.
