SUMMARY:Mason Executive Assessment Council
DESCRIPTION:The Mason Executive Assessment Council (MEAC) provides oversight and guidance for assessment activities across George Mason University by serving as the body through which the Academic\, Co-Curricular\, Administrative\, and Mason Core Assessment Councils intersect. As the university’s assessment hub\, MEAC serves as a clearinghouse for assessment information\, documents and shares best practices\, supports compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements\, and promotes the value of assessment as a key institutional practice.\n\nAt this meeting\, members will:\n\nReflect on the 2025-26 assessment awards process and identify best practices and lessons learned to share with assessment councils in Fall 2026.\n\nDiscuss the call for nominations for the next MEAC co-chair.\n\nPreview MEAC responsibilities and priorities for the 2026-27 academic year.\n\nDiscuss ways members can serve as peer leaders within their respective assessment councils.\n\nProvide feedback on current assessment practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.\n\nThe meeting provides an opportunity for members to collaborate across assessment councils\, share insights\, and advance assessment practices that support student success and institutional effectiveness at Mason.\nFor more information\, contact Eunkyoung Park at epark21@gmu.edu.

SUMMARY:Survey Best Practices Work Group
DESCRIPTION:The Survey Best Practice Workgroup (SBPW) is a collaborative effort dedicated to strengthening George Mason University’s institutional survey practices. Through a strategic and coordinated approach\, the group works to improve survey planning\, ensure survey initiatives meet the needs of units across campus\, and develop effective strategies to increase response rates while minimizing survey fatigue.\n\nAt this meeting\, members will:\n\nLearn about the newly established university survey policy and its implications for survey administration across campus.\n\nReview current promotion and marketing plans for exit surveys and explore additional strategies to increase participation.\n\nReceive updates on the Career Plans Survey and discuss ongoing efforts to enhance survey engagement and effectiveness.\n\nThe meeting provides an opportunity for members to share ideas\, align best practices\, and support a more effective and coordinated survey environment at Mason.\nFor more information\, contact Eunkyoung Park at epark21@gmu.edu.
